What it is
The two-active topical with tretinoin added. Tretinoin is a retinoid that speeds up skin cell turnover, which helps the other two actives pass into the scalp rather than sitting on the surface of it.

Common considerations
- Irritation, peeling and redness are more likely than with the two-active topical
- Tretinoin raises sun sensitivity. Protect any exposed scalp from the sun
- Shedding often increases in the first weeks before it settles
- Finasteride is absorbed through the skin. Not for women who are or may become pregnant
- Build up to the frequency your provider sets rather than starting nightly
